TEAMSTERS JOINT COUNCIL 55 OF MARYLAND ENDORSES BRIAN FROSH FOR ATTORNEY GENERAL

                                                                            Teamsters Joint Council 55 calls Frosh “the right choice for Attorney General.”

Washington, D.C.- Today, Teamsters Joint Council 55 endorsed State Senator Brian Frosh in the 2014 Democratic primary for Maryland Attorney General. Teamsters Joint Council 55 is comprised of five locals, including Local 67,Local 96, Local 639, Local 730 and Local 922.

“No one is more committed to protecting the rights of the working men and women of Maryland than Brian Frosh,” said Local 730 President, Ritchie Brooks.

Teamsters Joint Council 55 represents 12,000 members in the state of Maryland.

“I am grateful for the support of the Teamsters Joint Council 55. Their support is invaluable to my campaign. As Attorney General, I will make sure that the voices of organized labor are heard, listened to and respected.  I will crack down on wage theft; enforce the laws on minimum wage and prevailing wage, and fight to protect the health, safety and dignity of all workers in Maryland,” said Frosh.   

This is one of several labor endorsements for Frosh. AFSCME Maryland, Council 3, UFCW Local 1994 MCGEO, and the Maryland State and District of Columbia AFL-CIO has also endorsed his candidacy.
