PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY EXECUTIVE RUSHERN BAKER AND STATE’S ATTORNEY ANGELA ALSOBROOKS ENDORSE BRIAN FROSH FOR 2014 MARYLAND ATTORNEY GENERAL

Prince George’s County leaders tout Frosh as a principled legislator who has made Maryland a safer place to live.

Lanham- Today, State’s Attorney Angela Alsobrooks joined Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker at his campaign headquarters to formally announce their endorsement of Senator Brian Frosh for Maryland Attorney General in the Democratic primary for to be held on June 24th.

“I am proud to stand here today and pledge my support for Brian Frosh,” said Angela Alsobrooks, State’s Attorney, Prince George’s County. “There has been no stronger voice for Marylanders over the last 20 years.”

Like Baker, who previously pledged his support for Frosh last year, Alsobrooks has worked closely with Senator Frosh over the years on many issues affecting residents of Prince George’s County and all Marylanders. Both cited Senator Frosh as an honest, fair and thoughtful person, as well as an accomplished legislator who has made Maryland safer.

In particular, Aslobrooks cited Frosh’s leadership on and ability to work with both sides of the aisle to pass common sense legislation to better protect Marylanders against gun violence, domestic and sexual assault and identity theft.

“Brian has championed laws to bring individuals to justice who commit crimes with handguns, provide us with the tools to prosecute those who use another identity to solicit sexual assaults against that person and ensure that victims of domestic violence are able to navigate our justice system and receive the protections to remain safe,” said Alsobrooks.

Alsobrooks believes that Frosh is without question the most qualified candidate and she looks forward to working with him as Attorney General.

As Maryland Attorney General, Frosh pledged to continue working closely with Alsobrooks and Baker, and law enforcement officials across the state to enforce laws that protect Marylanders from violent crime and abuse.
